Is there a tutorial on how to get a backend and front-end setup in a docker container using Kubernetes?
Full disclosure I work at Linux Academy as an instructor. Having said that I can answer your question in the affirmative. Your questiones at a good time since I just finished and launched a full course on Kubernetes at Linux Academy. We cover everything from setup and configuration of Docker and Kubernetes (master and minions) and how to manage multiple container clusters (front and back end) using Kubernetes in a multi-node environment. You will get the full course labs exercises and a study ge as well as access to all other courses (2+) videos (25+) exercises labs quizzes study ges amunity forum and more for your monthly subscription (no minimum nomitment cancel anytime).
What are some good tutorials, books or forums to learn about Docker, Cloud Foundry and Openstack?
There are many but it will depend on what your point of view or usage is. What are you going to be doing? Are you learning as an end user as an administrator or as an architect? I'll speak to OpenStack. I enjoy Ask OpenStack since you get to see questions based on many different use cases. You could have a question on how to setup a service in a way that you may have never thought about. This may not benefit you in how to setup something in a weird way instead it makes you think about how you would configure it correctly and then assist users in their use case to figure out what they are trying to do. Seeing thousands of questions on a topic that I am interested caused me to want to learn more and figure out the answers to those questions. I also enjoy Quora because I may see more well thought out high level questions that aren't asking about the steps to do things but instead it talks about why we would do something. Start with documentation as always. See if it is something you are interested in. Sometimes you have to go back and learn prerequisites to get into something however don't look at it as a hurdle look at it as another bit of information you gain by learning the topic you set out to master. Luckily we live in an age where you can test out almost anything with a Virtual environment. Search out Devstack + Docker + Cloud Foundry. You may only see information about how to use Devstack + Docker but that will give you a forum where users are discussing it. Usually you'll get docs through Github but you could also look into personal blogs. Most of the information I read is related to a specific subject and I find it by searching with specific tags which lead me to blogs.
