What's up guys welcome to hardwin 82 channel i'm adam and in today's video we're gonna talk about ocr optical character recognition what it is and why you should care stay tuned recently i found myself in a situation where i needed to copy a document printed document document like this and i needed to have it in a digital version version that i could simply edit on my computer in notepad or word whatever i need it to have it on my computer without typing word by word sentence by sentence manually to the computer what to do in cases like this i will show you now optical character recognition applications have one job in one job only they convert images that contains text into machine encoded text in other means whatever you have on this piece of paper they will recognize and they will give you ability to edit that later in other case everything what you have here on paper you will have in a bit on your computer ready to edit i remember it was in 2001 i've got my first real job i i was a graphic designer they gave me this super fast computer with pentium 3 inside yeah pentium 3 180 nanometers process unbelievable and that super fast computer that time was connected to older devices like laser printers scanners and one of my job was to scan text text like this because we was making a magazine we was printing magazine there was a lot of pictures and text so i was preparing a lot of stuff for the for the people working there and and that was the time when i first found out what is this ocr is and how that works but that was 20 years ago and...
